“On another note we also won the HP HOOD, LLC President’s Safety Award for the entire year. Basically we went from worse to first in little over one year. Ron (Plant Manager) and his bosses are very excited about our achievement. Ron and I attribute much of our success this year to the various programs we implemented including in great part the C.A. Short  (Safety) Awareness Program. 

I want to personally thank you for your help throughout the year. I believe that sometime in early February we will be holding a plant wide safety celebration and if you are available maybe you can even stop by for the festivities. Thanks again.
It was a banner year for us here at Penn Maid with regards to safety accomplishments. The key for me moving forward is to follow it up with another solid year. With safety and OSHA numbers one never knows what the year will bring.
Ron (Plant Manager) and I will keep plugging away at it, promoting safety and safe behavior at every turn and opportunity, and I am glad at this point that we have the C.A. Short program in our pockets to help this effort along. I really believe that it helped keep the pressure and focus strong, especially during the last 6 to 8 weeks of the year when the year end goals loomed large in front of everyone.
I feel safe in saying that Ron and I both feel that it is money well spent and I can only hope we are making this same payoff next January 2010 as well. Thanks again and I will let you know our celebration dates once I confirm. “
