We all need to have some sense of what our employees find engaging and disengaging. Diving into the perspectives of your employee is sound and should be a priority for any business…but first we must gather those perspectives into a meaningful and useful format.

This action can be done in many ways but is most comprehensive when conducted as an employee engagement survey.

The National Safety Council observes National Safety Month every year in June. The annual observance is to help keep each other safe in the workplace. 

When aiming to build a workplace focused on employee safety, there are often some misconceptions behind behavior-based incentives and reward programs. Some safety professionals believe that behavior-based safety incentive programs somehow take the responsibility away from management, leaving it solely on the employee, or that behavior-based programs somehow blame the employee for an unsafe work environment. In order to implement a successful safety incentive program, managers and employers must buy in fully into the program, while empowering employees to make safe decisions for themselves and their coworkers.

The first Friday in March is Employee Appreciation Day. This year, it's celebrated on March 3, 2023.

It was created to focus the attention of employers — in all industries — on employee recognition.
